Holbeach

The Holbeach project combined three of the things we do: masonry restoration, paint removal and lime repointing, on a house photographed from above while it stood under scaffold. Removing paint from brick and then repointing in lime is a sequence that matters — the paint comes off first so the brick can dry, and the joints are then refilled with a lime mortar rather than cement. If a painted house in Holbeach needs its brickwork brought back, that is the order we would work in.
